CHRONOLOGY <br /> N & S IRRIGATION <br /> 215 MAIN STREET, RIPON <br /> 01/15/87 Date the Environmental Health Department (EHD) staff was <br /> informed that the 1500 gallon and 2500 gallon gasoline <br /> underground storage tanks (UST) that had permit fees paid for their <br /> operation on March 4, 1986, had been removed. The UST's were <br /> removed without permit or inspection by EHD. The owner did not <br /> remember when the UST's were removed. The owner was <br /> informed that a closure plan had to be submitted to EHD and soil <br /> samples had to be collected from beneath the former UST location <br /> and analyzed. <br /> 03/22/90 The UST area was excavated and on this date the EHD inspector <br /> noted odor and discoloration to the soil and observed collection of <br /> soil samples at 11 feet below surface grade (bsg). <br /> 05/25/90 Date EHD reviewed the soil analytical results that showed low <br /> levels of contamination. A notification of hazardous waste <br /> discharge and an unauthorized release report were filed. <br /> 02/12/97 The site was placed in the Local Oversight Program. <br /> 11/14/97 Date two soil borings were drilled to 30 feet bsg in the area of the <br /> former UST's. Soil and grab water samples were collected. <br /> 01/14/98 Date of "Summary Report Subsurface Investigation" covering <br /> 11/14/97 work. Groundwater was impacted with contaminants. <br /> 07/13/98 Date four soil borings were drilled to depths of 26 to 31 feet bsg <br /> about 40 to 60 feet from the former UST location. <br /> 09/09/98 Date of "Summary Report of Additional Subsurface Investigation <br /> covering 7/13/98 work. <br /> 02/08/99 Monitoring wells MW1, MW2, and MW3 installed this date. <br /> 06/01/99 Date of "Summary Report of Additional Subsurface Investigation" <br /> covering 2/08/99 work. Soil samples from 30.5 feet bsg in MW 1 <br /> and MW3 had contamination. <br /> 01/26/01 Date of EHD letter requesting work plan for lateral and vertical <br /> investigation. <br /> 09/12/01 Date five soil borings to 25 feet were completed but water <br /> g p samples <br /> were not collected. <br /> I <br />
