PROCEDURES <br /> Two ground water monitoring wells were installed and eight additional soil borings advanced in , <br />�. October 1999 Seven single-completed and two dual-completed ground water monitoring wells were <br /> purged and sampled on 28 October 1999 Cross sections were prepared illustrating stratigraphy' <br /> beneath the site and the approximate extent of impacted soil Field work was performed in <br />' . accordance with PHS-EHD and CVRWQCB guidelines for the investigation of UST sites and the <br /> i'Work Plan Addendum - September 1999tr <br /> ' <br /> , <br /> , ri2 1 DRILLING AND SAMPLING <br /> r <br /> to , J <br /> In October 1999; ten soil borings were advanced at thesite Borings were advanced to depths <br /> between 30+and 95 feet below surface grade(bsg) using a CME-75HT drill rig, equipped with 6 75' <br /> inch diameter hollow-stem augers to advance borings B9 through B16, and 8 25-inch diameter <br />' hollow-stem augers to advance borings MW-9 and MW-10 The drill rig and two-man crew were - <br /> f :supplied by Mitchell Drilling Environmental Corp (MDE) of Rancho Cordova,-C,aliforma Auger <br /> returns generated by drilling were placed on plastic sheeting and stored on-site,pendmg laboratory <br /> r analysis <br /> Soil samples were collectled'ahead of the drill bit using a split-tube,sampler loaded with three pre- <br /> cleaned 2`inch by 6-inch brass sleeves The samples were collected at five-foot intervals, beginning <br /> at various depths using a 140-pound hammer to advance the sampler 18 inches The number of blows <br /> required to advance the sampler in 6-inch`increments was recorded on the boring logs Samples were <br /> u not collected during advancement of boring MW-10 Sampling equipment was washed 'in,"an,' <br /> >r� Alconox solutioh and rinsed with water'pnor to each sampling run to avoid cross-contamination <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc ' <br /> l f t' <br />
