INTRODUCTION <br /> ,At the'request of Ms Tina Mayhew, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this M <br /> report documenting procedures and findings of cone penetrometer testing(CPT) and ground water <br /> sampling for 639 West Clay Street, Stockton, California (Figure 1) The report has been prepared <br /> as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) by letterldated <br />' 02 September 2004 <br /> This report was prepared in accordance with the California Regional Water Quality Control Board- <br />' Central Valley Region (CVRWQCB)'s recommendations and guidelines for the investigation of <br /> UST sites Site background information is provided in Appendix A <br />' The purpose of the performed scope of work was to determine the vertical and lateral extent of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground water at the site <br /> f S J <br /> 1 1 <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br />' Field work was performed in accordance with CVRWQCB guidelines for the investigation of <br /> underground storage tank (UST) sites The scope of work was detailed in the AGE-prepared <br />' Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan Addendum, dated 20 September 2001 The original scope <br /> of work was modified with approval from the EHD during phone conversations on 07 and 10 May <br /> 2004 and during assessment activities <br /> 1 yt . <br /> 2 1 CPT INVESTIGATION <br />' Between Ol`and 04 June 2004 four'CPT soil ( <br /> boring s CPT-01 through CPT-04)and 11 individually <br /> established soil bonngs for collection of ground water samples were advanced at the southern UST <br />' No 13 location and the northern UST cluster area (Figure 2,.3 and 4) CPT soil borings were _ <br /> _ advanced at the following locations y <br /> • CPT-01, CPT-02 and associated ground water sampling borings were advanced near the <br /> northern boundary of the former UST No 3 location`(Figures 2 and 3) to determine the <br /> vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground water CPT-01'and CPT-02 were <br /> co-located borings CPT-01 ,was advanced to.approximately 100 feet bsg, CPT-02 was <br /> advanced to approximately 170 feet bsg <br />' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> t , <br />
