Fred Clark/Reynoso Concrete Construction Company Report -2-
S-2, were collected from the stockpiled material at random
locations (Figure 2) . The overburden material which. had been
removed from the excavation was left on site adjacent to the
excavation awaiting analytical results.
Soil samples were collected in six-inch brass tubes. Both ends of
the tubes were covered with aluminum foil, and capped with
polyethylene caps. The samples were sealed in zip-lock bags and
immediately placed in a cooler containing crushed ice. The samples
were transported the same day under strict chain-of-custody to
American Environmental Laboratory, a California Department of
Health Services (DHS) certified laboratory.
LABORATORY ANALYTICAL RESULTS
Samples P-1, 2-E, 2-W, SP-1, and SP-2 were analyzed for total
petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G) , for benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX) by EPA methods 5030/Modified 8015,
and 8020, for total lead, and for ethylene dibromide (EDB) .
Samples P-1, SP-1 and SP-2 were also analyzed for total petroleum
hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-D) and total petroleum hydrocarbons as
waste oil (TPH-WO) . Sample # 1 was analyzed for TPH-D and BTEX.
Copies of the chain-of-custody forms and the analytical data sheets
are included with this report. Table 1 shows the results of the
laboratory analysis.
TABLE 1
LABORATORY ANALYTICAL RESULTS
(Results in pps except BTEX and EDB, given in ppb.
Detection linits given in parenthases behind results)
TPH-G TPH-D TPH-WO B T E X EDB PB
1-1 ND(1) ND(10) ND(20) ND(5) ND(5) ND(5) ND(10) ND(5) 22
#1 ND(500) ND(1000) ND(2500) 36,000 9,100 710,000
2-E ND(1) ND(5) ND(5) ND(5) ND(10) ND(5) 20
2-W 19 ND(25) 74 55 680 ND(5) 21
8P-1 11 ND(10) 64 ND(25) ND(25) 27 330 ND(5) 25
88-2 3.3 ND(10) 29 ND(5) ND(5) ND(5) 66 ND(5) 30
