An Interim <br /> Investigation Report dated January 22, 1999 prepared by JJW Geosciences, Inc. GJW), <br /> was received and reviewed by San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Services (PHS/EHD). Analytical results of soil samples taken <br /> from Soil Boring#2 (SB-2) at 15 feet below surface grade (bsg) were 677 parts per <br /> million (ppm) of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g) and 23.46 ppm of <br /> Xylenes, while the results of the soil sample taken at 25 feet bsg were 0.074 ppm Tert- <br /> Butanol. Analytical results of the soil samples taken from B-2 between 30 feet bsg and <br /> 55 feet bsg, and B-1 from 15 feet bsg to 60 feet bsg, were non-detect for TPH-g, <br /> aromatic hydrocarbons, and oxygenates at above detection limits. Analytical results of <br /> ground water sample taken from MW-1 on November 5, 1998 were 0.7 parts per <br /> billion (ppb) Ethylbenzene and 7.3 ppb Xylenes. <br /> Pursuant to California Underground Storage Tank Regulations, Title 23, Division <br /> 3, Chapter 16, Section 2652 of the California Code of Regulations, you are <br /> required to submit to PHS/EHD quarterly monitoring reports: <br /> Until investigation and cleanup are complete, the owner or operator shall submit <br /> reports to the local agency or Regional Water Quality Board, whichever agency is <br /> overseeing the cleanup, every three months or more frequently as specified hY the <br /> agency. Reports shall include... the results of all investigation monitoring or other <br /> corrective actions which have occurred during the reported period. <br /> PHS/EHD received a carbon copy of a cover letter dated July 8, 1999 from JJW on the <br /> subject of cost estimate for the quarterly ground-water services JJW conducted and <br /> proposed to conduct. PHS/EI-1D is unaware of any samplings of MW-1 since <br /> November 5, 1998 following the installation of MW-1.
