KLEINFELDER The following is a tabular summary of concentration ranges of detected analytes for the composite stockpile samples submitted for analyses for Area SE-B ' Table 5.1.2b Composite Stockpile Sampling Results ' Petroleum Constituents Small Excavation B ' TPH-P Xylenes TPH-D TPH-O Oil & Grease (mg/kg) (µg/kg) (mg/kg) (mg/kg) (mg/kg) ' Stockpile 5.7 to 32 11 1.6 to 170 46 to 2,100 524 to 6280 (Composite) ' In addition to the summary of analytes concentration ranges listed above, 4 of the 5 LUFT metals ' were also detected. The concentration ranges for these metals are as follows: Chromium 23 to 26 mg/kg ' Lead 8 to 25 mg/kg Nickel 31 to 36 mg/kg Zinc 40 to 57 mg/kg ' No other constituents from the requested analyses were detected above laboratory reporting ' limits. ' S 1 3 Large Excavation C and Related Assessment Areas Between June 22 and July 3, 2001 Kleinfelder collected a total of 18 confirmation soil samples ' from within Large Excavation C (LE-Q. On July 3, 2001 Kleinfelder also collected 4 soil samples from 4 potholes surrounding LE-C, and 5 composite samples of soil excavated from LE- C. The following is a breakdown of the requested analyses for each area followed by a summary ' of the results. A tabular summary is on the attached Table 2. 5.1.3.1 CONFIRMATION SAMPLING(LE-C) During the initial assessment of area LE-C a single sample was taken from the discolored soil ' with a petroleum odor located near the surface (sample 21987), followed by three samples taken at varying vertical depths (4.5, 7 and 9 feet bgs) to assess the type of contamination present. These four soil samples were collected on June 21 and 22, 2001 and were analyzed for more ' comprehensive analyses than other subsequent confirmation sidewall soil samples.
