k'% KLEINFELDER
An employee owned company
File No. 20-4341-11.E01
August 21, 2001
Mr. Shawn Fitzpatrick
Fitzpatrick Homes
447 Miller Avenue
Mill Valley, CA 94941
Subject: Limited Soil And Groundwater Assessment
Fitzpatrick Homes Monogram Collection
(Former R&B Trucking Company)
1785 N. Corral Hollow Road
Tracy,California
Dear Mr. Fitzpatrick:
In accordance with your request and authorization, Kleinfelder has performed a limited soil and
groundwater assessment at the above-referenced project site. Petroleum affected soil was removed from
three excavations and four temporary wells were installed at the site. This report details the soil and
groundwater sampling, and Kleinfelder's findings based upon this data
Approximately 4,100 yards of discolored soil with a petroleum-like odor was removed from three
excavations. Forty-four (44) soil samples were collected from within and in the immediate area of these
excavations. Forty (40) soil samples and 4 groundwater samples were subsequently analyzed primarily
for petroleum constituents.
An approximate 10-foot section of petroleum affected soil from the sidewall of one of the three
excavations is located along the western property boundary.Because of the possibility that contamination
may have migrated offsite, Kleinfelder recommends legal council in regards to disclosure to the affected
neighbor.
If there are any questions, or if we may be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our
office at(209)948-1345.
Respectfully submitted,
WINFDER4/ REA-I obertJ ony„Martin,R.G.,REA-I
Project Geologist Senior Geologist/Area Manager
20-4341-11.E01/201IR959 Page 1 of 1
Copyright 2001,Kleinfelder,Inc.
