L <br /> Section 1 <br /> L Introduction <br /> L <br /> On behalf of the State of California, Division of the State Architect (DSA), Tetra Tech, Inc. <br /> Lhas completed a preliminary site assessment at a former underground storage tank (UST) site <br /> at Castle Rock Forest Fire Station, located at 34580 Corral Hollow in Tracy, California. The <br /> Lwork was conducted in response to compliance requirements established by the San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Services (SJPHS). <br /> LPetroleum hydrocarbons were detected in the soil surroundinga former <br /> 550-gallon diesel <br /> L UST. This preliminary site assessment was implemented to determine if petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons from the tank had impacted local subsurface soil and groundwater. The <br /> assessment was implemented by drilling two soil borings at the tank cavity for sample <br /> Lcollection. Soil samples and hydro-punched groundwater samples were collected for <br /> laboratory analysis for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons by EPA Method 8015M (diesel <br /> fractions), Aromatic Volatile Organics by EPA 8020 and Total Lead by EPA 7420. <br /> The following report provides a brief history of previously conducted work, a description of <br /> the field methodology for the site investigation, a presentation of the analytical results, and <br /> recommendations for further action.
