Tetra Tech recommends closure.
The_PHS/EHD letter of January 30, 1995 states that a WET test shall
be ligrformed if the result of laboratory analysis fort►-lead is
greyer than 10 times the STLC. Title 22, Division 4, Article 11,
Section 66699 of the California Code of Regulations states that the
STLC and the TTLC values are calculated on the concentrations of
the elements not the compound. Organic lead is a compound. The
laboratory analyses for organic lead used during this investigation
are inconclusive for the presence or absence of elemental lead in
the former UST location or the stockpile.
The downgradient hydropunch HP2-W confirms the presence of toluene
at a concentration of 4 .2 ppb which is 13 times the detection limit
of .3 ppb in groundwater. This detection requires further
investigation to determine if the toluene is residual from the UST
removal, or, the hydropunch was located at the edge of a larger
downgradient plume.
1ivi<inv..i Cwn lneor.in ('minty FIn1Ur,—Ce.v:nec
