l
I
j Stockton 99 Speedway
Preliminary Endangerment Assessment Workplan
April 12,2007
(CHHSLs) published in the report entitled, Use of Human Health ScreeningLevels sin Evaluation of
Contaminated Properties, January 2005, developed by the Office of Environmental Health Hazard
Assessment (OEHHA). SGI concluded the following:
• The lateral and vertical limits of the fill generally correspond with topographic expression
observed along the west and north sides of the fill area;
• In general, the maximum vertical extent of the fill is greatest (approximately. 21-feet bgs) in the
interior areas and thin towards the.exterior areas;
• The volume of fill soil in the Debris Fill Area is estimated to be approximately 85,000 cubic yards;
'k • Arsenic exceeded its CHHSL for both the residential and commercial land-use in 14 of the 43
samples (33%) analyzed;
Cadmium exceeded its CHHSL for the residential land-use exposure scenario in one of the 43
samples (2%) analyzed;
• Lead exceeded its CHHSL for the residential land-use exposure scenario in three of 43 samples
(7%) analyzed;
Four out of the five samples analyzed for lead using WET analyses exceeded the criteria of 5
milligrams per liter(mg/L), and therefore would be classified as a California hazardous waste;
• Of the three samples analyzed for lead using the TCI_P method, none exceeded the screening
level criteria for a hazardous waste of 5 mg/L; .
• Two general groups of organochlorine pesticides (DDT isomers and chlordane) were reported in
t six soil samples. However, none were detected at concentrations that exceed their respective
CHHSLs; and
TPH in the middle distillate and residual fuels hydrocarbon range was reported in two soil
samples above their respective environmental screening levels (ESLs) established by the
California Regional Water Quality Control Board-San Francisco Bay Region (RWQCB 2005).
PEAworWa,.Fnai.m 2-4 The Source Group,Inc.
