ITTSIntegrity Tank Testing Systems, Inc.
November 15 , 1988
Page 2
Test Data & Results
MY MINI MART
1756 North Wilson Way
Stockton, California 95205
Based upon the aboveground visual inspection we made during
testing, and the results we obtained while testing, we believe
the loss as shown on page 1 may be due to a partial collapse of a
vapor pocket rather than a loss of product from your tank 's
system. Vapors are normally trapped in abandoned lines, buried
manways, and/or vents that exit the tank from the same end as the
tank fill . We attempt to totally collapse and hold nonventable
vapor pockets with hydrostatic pressure; however, we are limited
to the amount of pressure we can apply without exceeding the tanks
P.S.I . limits.
Unfortunately, the only positive and assured remedy for vapor
traps is to expose the tank top and establish mechanical venting.
The advantage to exposing the tank's top is that you can also take
any remedial action necessary if the losses shown are truly losses
from the system and are not collapsing vapor pockets as we
suspect.
If you need assistance in arranging for this type work, we
will provide you with the name of a competent contactor in your
area that specializes in this type of work.
Again, please contact us if you require additional assistance
or information.
800 262-8378 166 FYank West Circle Stockton, CA 95206 (209) 466-8036
