Country Club Food & Fuel page 2
1850/1856 Country Club Blvd, Stockton
EHD also reviewed the site conceptual model for the UST site adjacent to, and
just down-gradient from your site. The increasing levels of MtBE and the
presence of TBA in their upgradient wells could be from the contaminant plume
at your site migrating on to their site.
The site, Sanchez Property, is currently conducting ground water extraction as
an interim remedial activity under approval of EHD. The potential of the
contamination from your site migrating to their site could result in a commingled
plume and overwhelm their remedial efforts.
In order to verify if a plume is migrating off of your site, EHD requires you to
place a monitoring well close to former boring B-2. This monitoring well should
be at least a 4-inch diameter well and should be screened in such a manner as
to provide valid first interface ground water samples. The well could also be
used for ground water extraction should it be determined that the petroleum
contamination at your site has migrated to this location.
If elevated.levels of dissolved petroleum are detected in this new
monitoring/extraction well, EHD will require interim remedial activity(ground
water extraction and treatment)to control the migration of your plume. Please
be prepared to meet this requirement in a short period of time once the well is
installed and if analytical data indicates a problem exists.
A work plan for the monitoring well installation is due at EHD by November
28, 2005.
Please direct your submittals to Michael Infurna and you may call him at (209)
468-3454 if you have any questions.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environ ental Health D art ent
7
/p`'C -7 At"
Michael J.
