Proposed sample frequency for the analysis of MtBE should be reduced to semiannual for wells
MW2,MW4,MW6A, MW8A and MW9A and annually for wells MW6B,MW8B and MW9B.
The pumping well MW 10 needs to be sampled monthly to correspond to-the required monthly
sewer discharge sample and to evaluate the reduction in concentration achieved by groundwater
pumping. MW 10 should be analyzed for TPHg, BTEX,MtBE and TBA. Also depth to water
measurements from all wells should be obtained during the monthly sampling of pumping well
MW 10 to evaluate the, influence that pumping from MW 10 is having on the groundwater plume.
As mandated by the sewer discharge permit, weekly inspections to the treatment system and
monthly samples of the influent are required.
Western Geo-Engineers is requesting that the.above sampling schedule be implemented starting
in July 2009. .
Respectively submitted,
George CunverW Jack E.N.
Project Geologist Ca. Reg. Geologist#-637
Cc: Mrs. Manual Sanchez
Mr. Michael Infurina, San Joaquin County Health
Mr. James L.L. Barton, CRWQCB-CVR
