The <br /> CUF recommends that the EHD consider the site for closure. <br /> The EHD has been considering the site for closure and is in the process of closing the site. By <br /> letter dated 24 January 2012, the Central Valley Regional Water Control Board concurred with <br /> the EHD decision to close the site. By letter dated 06 February 2012, the EHD approved a work <br /> plan to destroy the monitoring wells on the site- the well destructions are pending. Upon <br /> destruction of the monitoring wells and receipt of the certificates of disposal for the investigation- <br /> derived wastes, the EHD will issue the site closure letter.
