The directive is in response to
recommendations offered in the Western Geo-Engineers, April - June 2003 Groundwater
Monitoring Report, dated June 26, 2003. A groundwater recovery/treatment system was
recommended, based on observations that the groundwater entering the excavation contained
petroleum sheen. Also, two additional cluster well sets were recommended for monitoring
purposes to document the effects of remediation of the site. Cluster well set 8A and 8B will be
installed north of the excavated area to document the northern extent of the petroleum plume and
cluster well set 9A and 9B will be installed down gradient, west of probe sample point P9, to
document the downgradient extent of the petroleum plume.
SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION
The site address is 1876 Country Club Blvd., Stockton, CA. It is located at the southeast corner of
the intersection of Mission Street and Country Club Blvd. (Figure 1). The property is located in
projected Section 4; TIN; R6E of the MDB&M at approximately five feet above mean sea level.
The north corner of the property at Country Club Blvd and Mission Road is at N370 58.044'
Latitude and W1210 19.393' Longitude (Delorme sa 7.0).
