According to San Joaquin County Public Health Services,
Environmental Health Division (PHS/0-1D) files no corrective ac,-tion has taken place at
the above referenced site to date.
When the two 1000 gallon gasoline underground storage tanks were removed in January
1989 PHS/EHD staff noted obvious soil contamination on their inspection report.
' Results of the soil samples collected beneath the tanks at the time of removal confirmed
high levels of soil contamination. Since the soil samples were collected at a depth of 10
' feet below ground surface (bgs) and seasonal high groundwater is 15 feet blas according
to San Joaquin County Flood Control Map of Spring 1986, a groundwater investigation is
warranted.
' Your site was placed on the contaminated site list maintained by PHS/EHD in February
1989. At that time an "Unauthorized Release Report" was completed listing the site on
' the State contaminated site list. Pursuai-to Section 25299 37 or the Health and Safety
Code PHS/.EFID is directing you to take corrective action in response to the
unauthonzed release from the underground storage tanks,
Compliance with corrective act 4 rders and directives is a requirement for
reimbursement of cleanup cosi s from the Cleanup Fund.
In order to be in compliance with this directive you must submit a work plan for
installation of a nunimum of three monitoring wells by April 1, 1993. The report of this
work must be signed by a California Registered Geologist, Certified Engineering
Geologist or Registered Engineer. A list of consultants that have worked in this county is
enclosed.
' A LHVWon of SM Jo9qula CadMy HCAUk CNe SarACC&
__ --
