February 7, 2003 Excavated to 14 feet near temporary piezometers PZ 1 A and <br /> PZ2A, remove piezometers PZ 1 A and PZ2A by pulling <br /> casing, and cement seal <br /> February 10, 2003 USRA built ramp for excavator to access excavation for <br /> deep digging Controller for dewatering pump in well RIB <br /> was mochfied to enable it to continuously pump without <br /> supervision <br /> February 14, 2003 Postponed further excavating until February 25, 2003 <br /> Weather service predicted storms for week of February 18 - <br /> 21, 2003 <br /> DEPTH TO WATER MEASUREMENTS <br /> Depth to water was measured at all active wells on January 31, 2003 The measurements <br /> were made from the surveyed elevation at the top of casing at each well using an <br /> electrical air/water interface probe (Table 1) No free product or product sheen was <br /> observed in any of the monitor wells Table 1 also presents the Depth to Water <br /> measurements obtained from wells located at Country Club Food and Fuel Charts have <br /> been developed to show the elevation changes with tune for Sanchez wells MW1, MW2, <br /> MW3, MW4 and MWS, see Appendix B Western Geo-Engineers surveyed the top of <br /> casings for temporary piezometers on February 5, 2003 using level and rod <br /> COLLECTION AND CERTIFIED ANALYSIS OF GROUNDWATER SAMPLES <br /> WEGE and Pittman Well Purging (PWP) personnel collected quarterly groundwater <br /> samples from the eleven monitor wells at the site on January 31, 2003 See Appendix A <br /> for QA/QC, details, methods, procedures, abbreviations, and acronyms used in sampling <br /> and analysis <br /> Following depth to water measurements, WEGE and PWP personnel used a truck <br /> mounted vacuum lift pump and dedicated one inch diameter PVC tubing to purge each <br /> well of three volumes of water <br /> After purging, the wells were allowed to recover to at least 80% of their original well <br /> volumes A groundwater sample was then collected from each well with a polyethylene <br /> bailer and decanted with no headspace into two 40 m1 VOA vials containing 0 5 ml HCL <br /> acid as a preservative <br /> The samples were delivered with accompanying chain of custody documentation to KIFF <br /> Analytical LLC (DHS certified #2230 analyzed the water samples from each monitor <br /> well for concentrations of TPH-G, BTEX and MtBE using EPA method 8260B, see <br /> Appendix C - Laboratory Report <br /> 5 QM 1sT 2003 <br />
