02 - 0671 <br /> Resolution No. <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION NO. 02-0332 <br /> CORRECTING THE SCHEDULE OF WASTEWATER FEES ADOPTED BY <br /> RESOLUTION r0. 32-0332 BY CORRECTING TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS AND <br /> INCORPORATING PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS OF THE SCHEDULE OF <br /> WASTEWATER FEES ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL BY RESOLUTION <br /> NOS. 97-0363 AND 98-0497 <br /> WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was conducted on May 28, 2002, for the <br /> purpose of hearing public comment/testimriny regarding adjustments to selected service <br /> fees; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 28, 2002, Resolution No: 02-0332 was adopted approving the <br /> changes to the schedule of wastewater fees to clarify,,Tthe unified billing process and <br /> adopting the schedule of wastewater fees effective June;1., 2002; and <br /> WHEREAS, during the process of dra- ing Resolution No. 02=0.332,staff members <br /> were not aware that Resolution Nos. 97-0363 and.98=0497;:lhad also also Resolution <br /> No. 96-0516, adopted on November 4, 1996, originally'estabjishing the, current schedule <br /> of wastewater fees; and <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution No. 02-0332 contained typographical errors which need to <br /> be corrected; and <br /> WHEREAS, the amendment of Resolution No. 02-0332 contains no new or <br /> increased wastewater fees; and <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution No. 02-0332 failed to include the provisions of Resolution <br /> Nos. 97-0363 and 98-0497 which allowed industrial users to transfer sewer capacity or <br /> reduce their allocated sewer capacity, and established an administrative transfer fee of <br /> $500', respectively; and <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution Nos. 97-0363 and 98-0497 were developed as a result of <br /> .extended discussions and meetings conducted between the Wet Industrial Dischargers <br /> (WID) Group and the Municipal Utilities Department staff in 1997 and 1998 to address <br /> issues of concern; and <br /> WHEREAS, the fees described herein were effective June 1, 2002; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City and community to correct the <br /> typographical errors and omissions of Resolution No. 02-0332; now, therefore, <br /> MY ATTYC= 6 7 <br /> REVIEW- 9L <br /> NOV 19 202 <br /> DATE <br />
