General Pretreatment Industrial Users <br /> Permit Conditions <br /> a. Wastewater Discharge Permits shall not be reassigned,transferred to or sold to anew <br /> owner, new user, different premises, or a new or changed operation without City <br /> approval. <br /> b. In the event of any change in control or ownership of the land or wastewater <br /> discharge facility presently owned or controlled by the discharger to whom the Permit <br /> was issued, the permittee shall notify the succeeding owner or operator by a letter <br /> sent certified mail of the requirement to obtain a new Wastewater Discharge Permit. <br /> A copy of the letter must also be immediately forwarded to the City. <br /> Any new or succeeding owner shall also comply with the terms and conditions of the <br /> existing permit until a new permit can be issued. <br /> 24. Duration: <br /> a. Permits shall be issued for a specified time period, not to exceed 5 years. A permit <br /> may be issued for a period less than 5 years or may be stated to expire on a specific <br /> date. <br /> b. If the permittee wishes to continue an activity regulated by this permit, the permittee <br /> must submit an application for a new permit at least 60 days before the expiration <br /> date of this permit. <br /> C. An expired permit will continue to be effective and enforceable as long as one of the <br /> following conditions apply: <br /> 1. The permittee has submitted a completed permit application at least 60 days <br /> prior to the expiration date of the existing permit. <br /> 2. The failure to reissue the permit, prior to the expiration of the previous <br /> permit, is not due to any act on the part of the permittee. <br /> 25. Permittee shall, if necessary,provide,maintain,and operate a pretreatment system capable of <br /> meeting all applicable limitations. Permittee shall insure that all pretreatment equipment is <br /> in proper working condition at all times. A pretreatment system maintenance schedule shall <br /> be submitted with each wastewater discharge application. All maintenance records for <br /> pretreatment equipment shall be kept and available to the City. The City may require that <br /> -5- <br /> • <br />
