THIRD QUARTER REPORT
KWTKEE FOODS
2081 Country Club Avenue
Stockton, California
October 30, 1995
KUCUTIVE SUMMARY
Upgradient Envirournental Consultants performed quarterly monitoring activities at the Kwikee Foods
Mart on August 25 and October 12, 1995. Three groundwater wells were monitored on both days, and
all were sampled on October 12,
A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to groundwater in each well. The depth
ranged from 15.87 to 16.61 feet. Between 12 and 20 gallons of water were purged from each well, and
pH and other parameters were measured during purging. The purged water is stored in 55-gallon
drums on site.
Groundwater samples were collected in disposable plastic bailers. Two 40-m1 vials were collected from
each well for laboratory analysis. The samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as
gasoline and BTE&X.
Elevated concentrations of gasoline and benzene were measured in all wells, confirming the results
obtained during previous monitoring events and strongly suggesting that the contaminant plume is
migrating eastward off the site. Upgradient recommends further drilling and monitoring to determine
the extent of contamination prior to considering a remediation plan.
. - 1
