Mike Infurna [EH]
From : Myers, Tonya [Tonya.Myers@arcadis-us .com]
Sent: Thursday, April 12, 2007 11 : 11 AM
To : Mike Infurna [EH]
Subject: RE : former 9-4054 CAP rev
Thank you for approving the CAP. The field work is scheduled for May 2nd and 3rd, hydrating the chips in 6 inch
lifts should not be a problem. 1 will call you as the drill date approaches to discuss a start time.
Thank you
Tonya
From: Mike Infurna [EH] [mailto : MInfurna@sjcehd .com]
Sent: Thursday, April 12, 2007 10: 54 AM
To: Myers, Tonya
Cc: Evans, David
Subject: former 9-4054 CAP rev
Attached is the approval to your April 5, 2007 Amendment to Corrective Action Plan Revision.
Tonya, I spoke to David about my experience with hydrating granular bentonite, especially a 4-foot section . I
recommend you experiment first with how it works from 4-feet thick. I think you'll see the upper 6-inches seals
immediately and prohibits any water from migrating downward . You may have to hydrate the bentonite in 6-inch
or 1 -foot lifts. I want to be onsite for the FIRST installation to see how it goes before the other eight go in .
NOTICE: This e-mail and any files transmitted with it are the property of ARCADIS U.
