The report of findings for this event was dated June 29 , 2007
and received by the EHD on July 23 2007 . Tracer gas compounds were detected in six
of the seven vapor samples and your consultant recommended repeating the event.
On July 12 , 2007 , another soil vapor sampling event was conducted onsite . The data
for this event was included in the second report dated August 23 , 2007 that was
received by the EHD on September 4 , 2007,
oirvapII s-wef eie co I d inu nrna canisters and-EAlvle iod 10- lb was
utilized to analyze for benzene, toluene, ethyl-benzene , and xylene (BTEX) and
naphthalene . Oxygen , carbon dioxide , nitrogen , and methane were also analyzed by
EPA Method D- 1946 . The analytical data was evaluated against California
Environmental Protection Agency (2005) Human Exposure Based Screening Number
(HEBSN) values .
Contaminated underground storage tank ( UST) sites are required to analyze soil vapor
samples for all constituents of concern for the site . Total petroleum hydrocarbons as
gasoline (TPHg) , 1 , 24chloroethane (DCA) and methyl tert-butyl ether ( MtBE ) are
constituents of concern at this site but were not analyzed for during either of the soil
vapor sampling events . Soil vapor data is required for these constituents . Another
sampling event is required . Please advise the EHD when you have scheduled this
event.
