The contaminate plume from this site covers a large area, and increasing COC concentrations in monitoring wells MW-10A, MW-10B, MW-1 OD, MW-12, MW-15, MW-16, MW-17 and MW-19 show that the plume is potentially unstable and contains high concentrations of various COC; therefore the EHD does not feel reducing the sampling and monitoring to once a year will provide an adequate tool for managing the plume. Please be aware that the California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Section 2652 requires owners of contaminated underground storage tank sites to report quarterly on the status of their site to the lead regulatory agency overseeing the investigation. To maintain an understanding of the plume and reduce your costs associated with monitoring and sampling, the EHD will approve modification of the quarterly sampling requirement as detailed below: 1.
