IVW
Mr.John Parker 23 March 2009
2151 Country Club Blvd. Page 3 of 3
Stockton, California
monitoring requirements as described below, but cannot approve reducing monitoring to an
annual event at this time.
The contaminate plume from this site covers a large area, and increasing COC concentrations
in monitoring wells MW-10A, MW-10B, MW-1 OD, MW-12, MW-15, MW-16, MW-17 and MW-19
show that the plume is potentially unstable and contains high concentrations of various COC;
therefore the EHD does not feel reducing the sampling and monitoring to once a year will
provide an adequate tool for managing the plume. Please be aware that the California Code of
Regulations, Title 23, Section 2652 requires owners of contaminated underground storage tank
sites to report quarterly on the status of their site to the lead regulatory agency overseeing the
investigation. To maintain an understanding of the plume and reduce your costs associated
with monitoring and sampling, the EHD will approve modification of the quarterly sampling
requirement as detailed below:
1. Monitoring wells MW-4, MW-7, MW-10B, MW-11A, MW-12, MW-13, MW-14, MW-16,
7 tit) and MW-19 are to be sampled semi-annualf (March and September) for TPHg, BTEX,
TAME, and 1,2-DCA by IefFio82GQ1
2. Monitoring wells MWS, MW-8, Jv1W-?1 22 -23 and(MW-24)may be sampled
bien II (at two intervals, during Ma
The remaining monitoring wells may have their ground water sampling and laboratory
analyses reduced Eo anWtXonce a year, during March).
A quarterly letter report is to be submitted to the EHD every quarter that the 'semi-
l/ annual' sampling events do not occur. The report is to include an update on specific
information and results of all corrective action (investigation) which has occurred during
"I '1 the period. An item that must be discussed in each quarterly report is future
investigative actions and a time schedule (dates)for implementing the actions. You may
prepare this report yourself unless geologic or engineering interpretations are included
which would require that it be prepared by an appropriately registered professional.
All reports are due on Geotracker by the 15th of the month following the quarter's end.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Michael Infurna, at(209)468-3454.
 0000
Michael J.
