The Site is bounded
by businesses to the east and west, residences to the north and Country Club Boulevard to the
south. The surrounding land use is mixed residential and commercial.
Site History/Assessments
In April 1985, soil contamination was identified during the removal of USTs. To date, 32
monitoring wells have been installed and monitored regularly. A Site map showing the location
of the former USTs, monitoring wells and groundwater level contours is provided at the end of
this five year summary.
Remediation Summary
• Free Product: Free product noted in site wells, up to 0.5 feet of free product noted in
2006
• Soil Excavation: Unknown
• In-Situ Soil/ Groundwater Remediation: Dual phase extraction pilot test, conducted in
March 2011 removed approximately 10.2 pounds of TPHg and 19,900 gallons of
contaminated groundwater. In-situ chemical oxidation pilot test is proposed
General Site Conditions
• Geology and Hydrogeology: The Site is underlain by interbedded and intermixed sand,
silt and clay. The depth to groundwater is approximately 8 feet bgs and the groundwater
gradient is southeast at approximately 0.004 feet/foot. The closest surface water is the
Smith Canal located approximately '/ mile of the Site.
