The
report failed to include the laboratory report for soil samples collected on May 5, 1995, May 17,
1995, June 6, 1995 and June 7, 1995. Please submit the laboratory report for these samples.
Please submit a work plan by January 15, 1996 to continue the groundwater investigation and to
define the extent of soil contamination. Please note that PHS/EHD has requested that soil
samples be analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons that are collected below groundwater, in order
to assess the mass of contamination which is associated with soil and which will continue to
contaminate groundwater. PHS/EHD advises that the scope of work for additional investigation
includes soil sampling below the groundwater and sufficient sample analysis to define the
vertical and horizontal extent of contamination.
Groundwater sample results indicate that floating product continues to be evidenced. A free
product removal plan should be submitted by January 15, 1996. Please also present the
lithological information obtained during the investigation in cross-sections.
