PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY 2: :
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION
Ernest M. Fujimoto, M.D., M.P.H., Acting Health Officer
445 N. San Joaquin Street • P. O. Box 388 • Stockton, CA 95201-0388
4GiFb Ri+P
209/468-3420
April 18, 1995
PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF FINDINGS REGARDING
SITE MITIGATION PLAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a corrective action plan for remediation of an
underground storage tank site located at 2575 Country Club Blvd. in Stockton has been
reviewed by San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division
(PHS/EHD). The plan is a proposal for the excavation of soil which was contaminated due
to unauthorized releases associated with underground storage tanks (UST) which were
located on the property. In order to minimize possible impact to the surrounding air quality,
Shell Oil Company has initiated vapor extraction interim remediation.
PHS/EHD, Local UST Oversight Program, has made a determination that the plan is in
compliance with local, State and Federal laws and regulations and that the resultant work
will not create significant adverse environmental impacts which exceed the benefits to be
gained from cleanup of the contamination.
The corrective action plan is available for public review at the PHS/EHD, 445 N. San
Joaquin Street, Stockton, California, during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Final Approval for the plan is scheduled for April 26, 1995. Implementation of the
corrective action plan has been tentatively scheduled to begin on Monday May 1, 1995.
Questions should be directed to Mary Meays, Senior REHS, at (209) 468-0337.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
