We estimated the amount of
hydrocarbons that may have been released during this event based on the most recent
groundwater analytical data from well RW-lA and the estimated volume of water that
overflowed. These estimates are: 0.2 pounds of TPHg, 0.04 pounds of benzene, and 0.3
pounds of MTBE.
An additional corrective measure taken to assure this will not happen again is that the flow
rate into the Baker tank was reduced so that the tank would not fill before the regularly
scheduled draining of the tank by the vacuum truck.
© A permanent groundwater extraction system is currently being constructed at the site and ue
estimate this system will be operation in five weeks. The temporary system will then be
taken out of service and groundwater pumped from RW-IA will be treated onsite with carbon
and discharged, as per a discharge permit, into the sanitary sewer.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please call Joe Neely at (707) 933-2361.
Sincerely,
Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc.
Jote4ely,
Senior Project Geologist
cc: Ms. Karen Petryna, Equiva Services LLC
0783 Z
TOTAL P.02
