November 17, 1997
Ms. Mary Meays
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
P.O. Box 388
Stockton, California 95201-0388
RE: Shell Service Station
2575 Country Club Blvd.
Stockton, California
WIC 204-7525-3505
Dear Ms. Meays:
This letter has been prepared to document the delays encountered for some of the drilling
activities Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc. (Cambria) has been trying to perform at the
above referenced site.
Drilling and installation of three shallow ground water monitoring wells south of the site was
originally scheduled for October 24, 1997. A City of Stockton encroachment permit was
required for two of the monitoring wells. This encroachment permit was issued on October 23,
1997 and apparently forwarded to San Joaquin County Public Health Services (PHS) by the City
of Stockton. When Cambria contacted Margaret Lagorio of PHS at the end of the day, October
23, 1997, the encroachment permit had not been received yet and therefore the well permits for
the October 24, 1997 work could not be issued. Cambria canceled the October 24, 1997 drilling
activities and rescheduled the work for November 11, 1997.
CaueRLA
ENVIRONMENTAL On November 7, 1997, PHS (Mary Meays) contacted Cambria to advise that the rescheduled
TECHNOLOGY,INC. date for this work (November 11, 1997) was a holiday for PHS personnel and there would be no
one available from PHS to perform a grout inspection on this date. Cambria has now
270 PERKINS STREET, rescheduled the work for November 20, 1997.
P.O.Box 259
SONOMA,
CA 95476
PH:(M 935-M
Fa:(707)9356649
