INVESTIGATION <br /> ' SOUTHLAND STORE NO 14117 <br /> 2725 COUNTRY CLUB BOULEVARD, STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> iDear Mr Infurna <br /> ' IT Corporation proposes the following work plan to investigate soil and groundwater conditions at Southland <br /> Store No 14117 (Figure 1) as requested by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) <br /> via verbal communicatior on March 30 1999 The scope of work includes 1) generating a site safety plan 2) <br /> the drilling of four soil borings 4) the installation of monitoring wells in each boring, and 4) reporting our <br /> findings The scope of work is designed to further address site conditions since the removal of three 10 000- <br /> gallon underground storage tanks (USTs) in July of 1998, and to determine the course of further remedial <br /> ' actions The proposed drilling locations are shown on Figure 2 Analytical results for soil samples collected <br /> during the UST removal are summarized in Table 1 <br /> 1 <br /> SITE HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN/PERMITTING <br /> ' The Health and Safety plan has been prepared by IT Corporation as required by the Occupational Safety and <br /> Health Administration (OSHA) Standard Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines <br /> ' (29 CFR 1910 120) The plan will be reviewed and signed by all IT Corporation personnellsibcontractors <br /> performing work on the site Prior to the start of work, permits for the soil borings will be obtained from the <br /> SJCEHD and Underground Service Alert (USA)will be contacted to get on-site underground utilities marked <br /> ' The SJCEHD will be notified two days prior to the start of work <br /> 1 <br /> • <br />
