corpoff-ad om <br /> i 4005 Port Chuago Ilighuay <br /> f Com ord CA 9,1520 1 120 <br /> i , i f�AL7h T,1 927 288 9898 <br /> `T r r' ?'/f lay 927 288 0888 <br /> *heVF*OUP. <br /> or ��t r 3 <br /> SM ta: 58 A Ah mb,e of rhr 11 Group <br /> July 9, 2001 <br /> Mr Michael Infurna <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue,Third Floor <br /> Stockton,California 95202 <br /> RE WORK PLAN FOR FURTHER SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION <br /> 7-ELEVEN STORE NO 14117 <br /> 2725 Country Club Boulevard <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> In accordance with your request, IT Corporation, Inc (IT Corporation) proposes the following work plan to <br /> further investigate sod and groundwater conditions at 7-Eleven Store No 14117 (Figures 1 and 2) The scope <br /> of work includes installing two to three additional groundwater monitoring wells to 20 feet below grade to <br /> evaluate the lateral extent of dissolved methyl tertiary butyl ether(MTBE) <br /> The wells are proposed to be positioned to delineate the plume laterally to the west,southwest and south of <br /> the existing monitoring well configuration, private property bordering the site to the north/northeast and an <br /> adjacent service station located east of the site inhibit investigation in these directions As of the most recent <br /> quarterly groundwater monitoring data, the predominant groundwater flow direction is to the west and <br /> southwest Therefore,the additional proposed investigation will provide data as to the downgradient extent of <br /> the plume The third well shown on Figure 2 near the northwest part of the site will be installed if physical <br /> access allows <br /> SITE HEALTH ARID SAFETY PLANIPERMITTING <br /> The existing Health and Safety plan prepared for the site previously will be used during subsequent drilling <br /> operations The Health and Safety plan was prepared as required by the Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Administration (OSHA) Standard "Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (29 <br /> CFR 1910 120) The plan is reviewed and signed by all IT Corporation personnel/subcontractors performing <br /> work on the site Pnor to the start of work, permits for drilling will be obtained from the appropriate agencies, <br /> and utility locations will be cleared by Underground Seance Alert(USA)and/or a private utility locating company <br /> The San Joaquin County Public Health Services Department(SJCPHS)will be notified as required or two days <br /> prior to the start of work <br />
