MONITORING AND REPORTINAGRA:I <br /> LIBBEY-OWENS-FORD COMPANY <br /> LATHROP PLANT NO. 10 <br /> DOMESTIC [PASTE EFFLUENT MONITORING <br /> Effluent samples shall be collected downstream from the point of discharge from the <br /> domestic sewage treatment plant. Samples collected from the outlet structure of ponds <br /> will be considered adequately composited. The following shall constitute the effluent <br /> monitoring program: <br /> Constituents Units Type of Sample Sampling Frequency <br /> Total Coliform Organisms Number/100 ml Grab Weekly <br /> RECEIVING WATER MONITORING <br /> All receiving water samples shall be grab samples. Receiving water samples shall <br /> be taken from the following: <br /> Station Description <br /> R-1 300 feet upstream from the point of discharge <br /> R-2 600 feet downstream from the point of discharge <br /> Constituents Units Station Sampling Frequency <br /> Residual Chlorine mg/l R-1, R-2 Weekly <br /> Temperature °C R-1, R-2 Weekly <br /> In conducting the receiving water sampling, a log should be kept of the receiving <br /> water conditions throughout the reach bounded by Stations R-1 and R-2. Attention <br /> should be given to the presence or absence of: <br /> a. Floating or suspended matter <br /> b. Discoloration <br /> c. Bottom deposits <br /> d. Aquatic Life <br /> Notes on receiving water conditions shall be summarized in the monitoring report. <br /> 2 - <br />
