Davis Road
Stockton CA 95209
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD)
has reviewed the Monitoring Well Installation Report dated July 16, 2001 that was
prepared by Ground Zero Analysis, Inc. on your behalf and has the following comments.
The report documents fieldwork that took place on June 20, 2001 when one shallow
ground water monitoring well was installed on site. One soil sample collected during the
drilling of the well borehole was submitted for laboratory analysis. The report also
includes the results of the development and sampling of the well, the sampling of a nearby
domestic well and a well survey of the surrounding area. Analytical results were non-
detect for all constituents in each sample except for 2.2 micrograms per liter of chloroform
from the monitoring well. The report recommends the destruction of the monitoring well
and that the site be closed with reference to the underground storage tank.
Prior to consideration of the site for closure, PHS/EHD requests that a confirmation round
of groundwater monitoring and sampling be completed during the third quarter of 2001. If
analytical results remain consistent, PHS/EHD will submit the site to the Regional Water
Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region for concurrence with closure.
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Lon'` Gt,
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Margaret agorio, Supervising REHS
LOP/ Site Mitigation Unit IV LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV
cc: Marty Hartzell, CVRWQCB
Greg Stahl, Ground Zero Analysis, Inc.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
