Davis Road, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr. Kith <br /> This workplan is submitted on 'behalf of North Stockton Auto Service (NSAS) to conduct a <br /> subsurface investigation at the subject site (Figure 1). <br /> i <br /> The general scope,of work will consist of drilling and sampling five soil borings in the vicinity of the <br /> former underground storage tank(UST) to investigate the vertical and' lateral extent of residual soil <br /> contamination, and to determine if groundwater has been impacted. A technical report summarizing <br /> the methods and results of the investigation will be submitted subsequent to the completion of the <br /> investigation <br /> BACKGROUND, <br /> The site currently',operates as an'.automotive service center and is owned by Mr. Ed Niemann et.al. <br /> One 550•-gallon UST was previously utilized for storage of waste oil. The UST was removed under <br /> permit from PHSIEHD in May 2000. A soil sample collected from beneath the tank contained <br /> elevated levels of,petroleum and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Analytical results are summarized in <br /> Table 1. Groundwater beneath the site is expected to be found at approximately 30 feet below <br /> ground surface (bgs), based on historical information available from the San Joaquin County Flood <br /> Control and Water' Conservation District. <br /> nsautoln;ports1wp07 l 100,dac <br />
