(ATC), on behalf of Diamond Walnut Growers Inc. (DWG)
for its Stockton Plant. We discussed many of the elements of this WP during a site tour on
28 August 2001, which Ms. Jeanne Homsey of ATC also attended.
During our meeting, you agreed to submit a work plan addendum by 1 October 2001. The
addendum will include the following:
• Adding a boring along East North Street, north of the cogeneration facility.
• Selecting a field soil screening method appropriate for hexavalent chromium.
• Modifying the number and depth of soil samples collected from the borings to consider
potential and known source areas based on previous sampling.
• Selecting a groundwater analytes list that includes compounds necessary to develop a
groundwater treatment alternative for hexavalent chromium.
We anticipate the field work will be completed in December. Please include in the addendum a
schedule through the submittal of a characterization report.
If you have any questions, you may contact me at(916) 255-3082.
7E2
MAR Y
Private Sites Cleanup Unit
cc: Ms. Margaret Lagorio, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, Stockton
Ms. Jeanne Hornsey, ATC Associates, Modesto
California Environmental Protection Agency
co Recycled Paper
The energy challenge facing California is real.
