Mr. Mike Lecision - 2 - ,-/ 25 June 2001
Groundwater cleanup goals for Cr+6, therefore, will be either background or the lowest
established criteria. Cleanup goals for other compounds that exceed water quality objectives
will be determined in the same manner.
3. Groundwater at this site contains Cr+6 pollution at concentrations well above water quality
criteria. We request that DWG submit a work plan and time schedule to conduct a soil and
groundwater investigation to completely define the groundwater pollution at this site. The
work plan shall be prepared in general accordance with the enclosed Items to be Included in a
Site Assessment Work Plan.
4. The QMR shows that Cr+6 concentrations for groundwater samples collected from nearby
municipal drinking water wells (WP-1, 2 and 3)were below the detection limit of 5.0 µg/1.
This is valuable information for the City of Stockton. Please send Mr. Ed Formosa of the
City of Stockton, Department of Municipal Services copies of future reports that contain
analytical results for the municipal drinking water wells.
By 31 July 2001, please submit a work plan and time schedule to conduct a soil and groundwater
investigation.
If you have any questions, you may contact me at(916) 255-3082.
MAR SERRA
Private Sites Cleanup Unit
cc: Mr. Ed Formosa, City of Stockton, Department of Municipal Utilities, Stockton
Ms. Margaret Lagorio, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, Stockton
Ms. Jeanne Homsey, ATC Associates, Modesto
