(ATC)
on behalf of Diamond Walnut Growers Inc. (DWG) for its Stockton Plant. The Work Plan
proposes to collect soil and groundwater samples, complete baseline analyses, conduct a bench
scale study and compile a summary report. The goal of the bench scale study is to compare
hexavalent chromium reduction in soil and groundwater using ferrous iron and calcium
polysuifide. Regional Board staff concurs with the strategy contained in the Work Plan and
DWG should immediately proceed with its implementation.
By 19 November 2004, please submit the results report for the treatability study.
