(ATC) on behalf of Diamond Walnut Growers Inc. (DWG) for
its Stockton Plant. The Work Plan contains the provisions to install a single monitoring well
with a screened interval extending from about 102 feet below ground surface (bgs)to about
112 feet bgs. The monitoring well will be installed near or just downgradient of CPT1,which
previously was shown to have a water bearing zone at that interval. We concur with your
strategy for characterizing the deeper water bearing zone, and DWG should proceed to
implement the Work Plan.
According to the schedule contained in the Work Plan, by 2 May 2003,please submit the results
report for the well installation.
