A S S O C I A T E S E N C <br /> 4.0 RESULTS <br /> 441 Soil Analytical Results <br /> Hexavalent chromium was not detected at concentrations above the method detection limit in <br /> soil samples from borehole locations MW4 through MW8 collected from the 40 and 50-foot <br /> depths <br />' Soil samples collected from boring MW6 at depths of 40 and 50 feet bgs contained total organic <br /> carbon concentrations of 43 ppm and 52 ppm, respectively The soil samples collected from the <br /> remaining borings did not contain total organic carbon concentrations at detectable levels <br /> Total alkalinity was reported in soil samples at concentrations ranging from 11 mg/L to 26 mg/L <br /> from borings MW4, MW5, MW6, MW7, and MWS <br /> The pH of the soil samples ranged from 7 2 to 7 6 <br /> rThe analytical results are summarized in Table 1 Copies of laboratory analytical results are <br /> contained in Appendix D <br /> 42 Groundwater Analytical Results <br /> 1 Hexavalent chromium was detected in groundwater samples collected from wells MW2, MW3, <br /> MW4, MW5, MW6, and MW7 The concentrations of hexavalent chromium were highest in <br /> well MW3, adjacent to vaults 7 and 8, and in well MW6, approximately 120 feet downgradient <br />' from vaults 7 and 8 The concentrations of hexavalent chromium were reported at 4 0 mg/l in <br /> well MW3 and at 0 071 mg/I in well MW6 Wells MW2, MW4, MW5, and MW7 had detectable <br /> concentrations of hexavalent chromium ranging from 0 0069 mg/l to 0 031 mg/l Hexavalent <br />' chromium was not detected in wells MW1, MW8 or the facility well <br /> Groundwater samples from borings CPT-1 and CPT-2 contained detectable concentrations of <br /> hexavalent chromium at 0 170 mg/L and 0 012 mg/L, respectively <br /> The reported concentrations from wells MW3, MW6, and CPT-1 were above the California <br /> Primary Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) for total chromium of 0 05 mg/l Hexavalent <br /> chromium does not have an established MCL or Action Level <br /> Total chromium was detected in groundwater in the samples from wells MW 1 through MW8 and <br /> the facility well Concentrations ranged from 0 0056 mg/l to 6 200 mg/l The reported <br /> concentrations from wells MW3 and MW6 were above the California Primary MCL for total <br />' chromium of 0 050 mg/l <br /> r <br />' w lwordpro1625831reports\WeI1_mstall_rpt doe 6 <br /> w I -- r w ` <br />
