e
1
Technical Summary & Report of 4TH Qtr Monitoring April 2, 1992
Diamond Walnut Growers, 1050 South Diamond Street, Stockton, CA W0564 '
recorded chromium at .054 mgl f which is above the State MCL These results were obtained
' from the City of Stockton and are presented in Table 1 and included in Appendix C.
' 5.0 CONCLUSIONS
Based on a review of previous work performed at the site and the data presented in this report,
' RESNA concludes the;following-
' 0 The first encountered water-bearing zone is at approximately 70 feet below grade
0 The water table has lowered approximately 0.53 to 2.13 feet since the last mocutoring
event in February 1991.
• The groundwater flow direction (north - northwest) on December 18, 1991 is consistent
' with the inferred regional topographic gradient and previous contours determined by
Weiss Associates on February 8, 1991 However, the December gradient magnitude
( OOO6) is extremely low and is not consistent with the gradient magnitude observed by
Weiss (.002)
• Analysis of the groundwater sample collected from well MW-1 on December 18, 1991,
did not record any of the analyzed constituents above method detection levels
' • The groundwater sample collected from well MW-2 on December 18, 1991 contained
detectable concentrations of total and hexavalent chromium, however, the levels were
below the California Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs) No glycols were detected
' in the sample
• The groundwater sample collected from well MW-3 on December 18, 1991, contained
' hexavalent chromium slightly above the MCL and total chromium below the MCL
Glycols were not present above the method detection limit in the sample from this well.
' 0 Water samples collected by City personnel from the City supply wells (WP-1, WP-2, and
WP-3)during 1989, 1990, and 1991 sampling events contained detectable concentrations
of total chromium including one analysis above the State MCL Detectable levels of
' sodium (below MCL), chlorides (below secondary EPA standard), and calcium (no
standard established) were also present The samples collected on December 18, 1991,
by RESNA personnel did not record detectable levels of total or hexavalent chromium,
or ethylene or propylene glycol
R011792 SAY 6
