(GTI) informing the EHD
that both a soil vapor extraction and air sparging system are currently operating at the above-
referenced site. To expand the minimal collection of groundwater monitoring data and monitor
the performance of the remedial system, GTI proposed the following changes to the monitoring
and sampling schedule beginning the fourth quarter 2012:
• Quarterly monitor and sample monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-2, and observation wells
OW-1 and OW-2;
• Semi-annually monitor and sample monitoring wells MW-7 and MW-8;
• Annually, during the second quarter 2013, monitor and sample monitoring wells MW-4,
MW-5, MWA02, MWA06, sentinel well SWA01, and domestic wells DW-31448 Hwy-33
and DW-1697 Durham Ferry Road; and
• Fourth quarter 2012, collect depth-to-water measurements from monitoring wells
MW-102, MW-2x, MW-202, MW-101, and MW-201.
With the condition that all monitoring requirements of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality
Control Board will be met, the EHD approves the proposed sampling schedule presented above
for one year, beginning the fourth quarter 2012. In addition to analyzing the groundwater
samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) and benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX), include the analyses for 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA)
and methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE).
Please notify the EHD at least a week prior to the scheduled sampling events so that an
inspector can be present. Also, please note that in May 2012, the EHD moved to 1868 East
Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, California 95205. Please submit future correspondence to this
address.
