(GTI), on your behalf for the above referenced site. During a telephone conference call between Ray Kablanow, PG, of GTI and Nuel Henderson, PG, of the EHD on 29 August 2011, it was decided that in light of budgetary constraints, proposals presented in the RAP would be revised and implemented in phases. As a result, GTI submitted Phase I Remedial Action Implementation Plan that includes proposals to implement both a Phase I and Phase II plan and incorporates some of the original RAP. In Phase I, GTI proposes to: • Contact the California Regional Water Quality Control Board Central Valley Region (CRWQCBCVR) to determine the need to submit a permit for waste discharge requirements (WDR); • Perform groundwater sampling and monitoring for only wells SW-101 and MW-7 and only during the second quarter of each year and include measuring the depth-to-water in wells MW-5 and MW-8; • Assemble appropriate equipment for the air sparge system; • Inject air into existing wells OS-1, OS-2 and possibly MW-2; • Operate the air sparge system in bio-treatment mode by cyclically sparging OS-1 for fifteen minutes, followed by sparging OS-2 for fifteen minutes, then turning off the system for thirty minutes; • Monitor arsenic and hexavalent chromium concentrations in groundwater collected from wells OW-2, MW-2 and MW-106 prior to operating the air sparge system, and subsequently during the second and fourth quarters of 2012; • Measure dissolved oxygen (DO) levels monthly in wells OW-2, MW-2 and MW-106, and • Monitor the air sparge system monthly.
