Geological Technics lhco
1101 7"Street
Modesto,California 95354
(209)522-4119/Fax#522-4227
September 18, 2007
Project No.: 425.2
Project Name: George's Station
George and Mei Teranishi
1600 Durham Ferry Road
Tracy, CA 95304-8799
Re: Work Plan—Geoprobe Site Investigation
George's Station, 1600 Durham Ferry Road,Tracy, CA
Dear Mr. &Mrs. Teranishi:
Geological Technics Inc. is pleased to submit the following Work Plan for further site
investigation.
GTI submitted a remedial action plan on November 29, 2007 followed by 3 addenda dated
February 5, 25 and March 19, 2008 to mitigate the residual groundwater contamination using
air sparging, vapor extraction and Oxygen Releasing Compound(ORC)technology in situ (in
place). San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) approved the air
sparging and vapor extraction portion of the remedial action plan subject to positive results
from a limited 2-week pilot test in their correspondence dated April 30, 2008. However, the
ORC injection design and application at the site per SJCEHD directive requires further site
investigation to clarify the horizontal and vertical extent of the plume toward northern
portion of the site (under Durham Ferry Road). The results obtained from the investigation
presented as a result of this proposed geo-probe work will be used in ORC injection design
and application on the north side of the site.
The following work plan details our approach to further investigate the site. If you have any
questions or need additional information, please contact me.
Res " lly s it
Raynold 1.
