Geofogica( echnics Inc. <br /> 2741 Pjvcr Ryad <br /> Modesto,CaLfamw 95351 <br /> (209)538 6424/Fax#538 5852 <br /> Report <br /> Subsurface .investigation <br /> George's,Service <br /> 1600 Durham Ferry Road <br /> Tracy, California <br /> Project No 2812 <br /> August 11, 1995 <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> On April 25, 1995, Geological Technics Inc personnel supervised and directed a <br /> subsurface investigation at George's Service located at 1600 Durham Ferry Road in <br /> Tracy California A total of three groundwater monitoring wells were installed, two <br /> machine soil borings, and six hand auger borings were advanced to evaluate the <br /> vertical and lateral extent of gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons The depth to <br /> groundwater was measured and samples were collected on May 4, 1995 The <br /> groundwater was shown to flow generally to the north Laboratory analytical data <br /> has shown that both the soil and groundwater environments are impacted by <br /> gasoline <br /> 1.0 SUBSURFACE INVES'T'IGATION <br /> 1.1 Soil Boring and Hand auger Borings <br /> Two soil borings were advanced to the capillary fringe with a truck mounted <br /> drilling rig using a 8 00 inch outside diameter continuous flight hollow stem auger <br /> owned and operated by V&W Drilling (C57# 658786) Soil cuttings were underlain <br /> and covered with plastic <br /> Under the supervision of V&W Drilling, six hand auger borings were advanced to <br /> the capillary fringe in difficult access locations by Del-Tech Geotechnical Support <br /> personnel using 3 5 inch diameter hand auger equipment Soil cuttings were <br /> underlain and covered with plastic <br />
