Accord- <br /> ingly, any future work should be submitted to a bid in order <br /> to qualify for such reimbursement. <br /> Our office hasprepared an Invitation For Bid ( IFB) for <br /> the Ruizs . As you know, we sent a first and second draft of <br /> the IFB to you for comment. However, your PHS/EHD deadline <br /> of April 15 , 1992 is upon us and I wanted to memorialize in <br /> writing how we are proceeding with this matter to remain in <br /> compliance. <br /> Therefore, we request an extension for submittal of a <br /> workplan and for the quarterly monitoring. You may recall <br /> that the Ruizs have had substantial turmoil in their lives <br /> between the death of Mrs. Ruiz ' s brother and the shooting of <br /> one of their cousins . <br /> We plan to provide prospective consultants with a two <br /> .week turn-around on the bids . Once the Ruizs have reviewed <br /> the bids and options, a workplan will be submitted to you. <br /> (By the way, I am requesting copies of the tank removal from <br /> Mrs .
