As noted during a telephone communication with Clearwater, the depth to
groundwater did not range from 23.83 to 24.46 feet below top of casing, as reported.
Depth to water measurements actually ranged from 15.93 to 17.34 feet.
Groundwater samples were not collected from monitoring wells, MW1 and MW2,
because product was observed at depths from 0.16 feet to a sheen, respectively. Please
note that in the future, should free product be observed, efforts should be made to
immediately initiate removal.
The domestic well should be sampled during the next quarterly monitoring event and
annually thereafter. Samples collected from monitoring wells, MW3 - MW7 did not
detect petroleum hydrocarbon contamination, thereby defining the horizontal extent of
the groundwater plume.
During second quarter, April 7, 1995, additional wells were installed that included one
recovery well, RW1 and two air sparge wells, SW1 and SW2. The results of soil
sampling conducted during installation are yet to be reported.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
