i
_ I
GIC 1NVFSftGATION WORK PIAN
4191 Wert Durham Ferry Road,Tracy,Ca':fbrnia
Delta Project Din.40.92.73$
Page S
Ground
Following well development and after water levels have been allowed to stabilize in the wells, three to five
well casing volumes of water will be removed from each well by bailing with a bailer. Purged ground water
will be contained in 55-gallon drums for later disposal. Measurements of pH,specific conductance, and
temperature will be conducted at regular intervals during this procedure. Removal of water from each
ntonitoting well will continue until the measured pH,specific conductance, and temperature have stabilized.
A ground water sample will then be collected from each monitoring well with a dedicat4 disposable bailer.
Each sample w-11!be appropm- tely labeled and stored on ice from the time of collection through the time
t
of delivery to the laboratory. Ground water samples will be transported to the laboratory and analyzed
^ within the EPA-specified holding times for the requested analyses.
I
_ Chemleal Attar
Selected soil samples collected from the.oil boring and ground water samples collected from the monitoring
(i wells will be sent to a state-certified laboratory for chemical analyses. Soil and ground water samples will
E be analyzed for TPH as gasoline and BTEX by EPA Methods 8015,and 8MO,respectively.
1 Horizontal and vertical surveys will be conducted to determine horizontal location and top-of-rasing
elevations for the three monitoring wells.
Utilities
- Alt soil borings will be marked, then Underground Service Alert will be not'if'ied. Asa preventative measure
f
for altcounterin$utilities during d:illiun,Delta will require that the initial 5 feet of drilling be l-rformed
using a hand anger.
i
4.0 PRELIMINARY REPORT tUPARATfON
-f.. _.
j An investigation report will be prepared following completion of field activities. The reporthill provide a
j summary of field activities and observations, ground water and soil sampling procedures, analytical results,
- monitoring well completion diagrams and lithologic descriptions, depth to ground water and ground water
flow direction data, and conclusions and recommendations.
I
