""°�ip <br /> V CORN&FLOUR TORTILLAS IF . <br /> HAZARDOUS MATERIALS <br /> EMERGENCY PLAN IN CASE OF SPILLS <br /> LONG LIFE TORTILLA MIX <br /> NOTE: When a spill occurs, time is of the essence to make sure a quick and safe clean-up occurs. <br /> 1. Spill Notification <br /> In the event of a spill, immediately notify Plant Manager Javier Aranda Jr. at number (209) 992-9261, he <br /> will notify the corresponding authorities if necessary. <br /> 2. Risk Assessment <br /> Evaluate the source and type of material spilled. <br /> Proceed carefully the floor may be slippery. <br /> Ventilate the area. <br /> Remove all personnel that are not needed. <br /> 3, Protective Clothing <br /> Wear appropriate protective equipment (mask, boots, gloves, gown, apron to prevent skin contact, safety <br /> glasses to prevent eye contact). <br /> 4. Control and Cleaning <br /> Close the valves. <br /> Turn perforated drums and cover leaks if possible and safe to do so. <br /> If the spill is less than 1 gallon, cover with sand and put in a plastic recipe with a loose lid. <br /> If it is a major spill, contain the liquid with sandbags. <br /> Cover exposed drains near the spill. <br /> Neutralize with lime and then absorb with dry sand. <br /> Put in a plastic container designated for chemical waste. <br /> DO NOT EMPTY IN ANY KIND OF DRAIN!!!! <br /> 5. Decontaminate <br /> Clean all tools and reusable materials properly before using them again. <br /> 6. Restock Materials <br /> Replace absorbent materials and safety equipment used in any cleaning operation. <br />
