' Appendix D
' WELL DEVELOPMENT AND SAMPLING PROCEDURES
' The well development, sampling, and analysis procedures for the
water-quality monitoring program are contained in this appendix. The
procedures provide for consistent and reproducible sampling methods;
proper application of analytical methods; accurate and precise analytical
results; and finally, these procedures provided guidelines so that the overall
' objectives of the monitoring program were achieved.
The following documents have been used as guidelines for developing
' these procedures:
G Procedures Manual for Ground-water Monitoring at Solid
Waste Disposal Facilities, EPA-530/SW-611 , August 1977
a RCRA Ground-water Monitoring Technical Enforcement
Guidance Document, OSWER 9950.1 , September 1986
' G Test Methods for Evaluating Solid Waste :
Physical/Chemical Methods, EPA SW-846, 3rd edition,
' November 1986
Methods for Organic Chemical Analysis of Municipal and
Industrial Wastewater, EPA-600/4-82-057, July 1982
' G Methods for Chemical Analysis of Water and Wastes,
EPA-600/4-79-020, revised March 1983
' G Leaking Underground Fuel Tank Field Manual, California
State Water Resources Control Board, revised
' October 1989
Well Development
Well development consisted of swabbing the monitoring well casing
screened interval using a surge block. and purging ground water from the
well to remove any silts or sediments.
pj010f9010f900020.1 ag D - 1 Rev. 0 December 15, 1992
