Measure the water level in 8 selected borings and survey the
elevations of the borings to a common datum in order to make
a groundwater gradient map. This groundwater gradient map
will allow a more cost-effective and reasonable selection of
future groundwater monitoring or product recovery wells, if
they are needed.
7. Provide a report of findings and outline the zones of soil
and groundwater contamination.
The attached table of sampling parameters has been provided to make
the sampling plan easier to follow.
RECOMMENDATIONS
PHASE II
1. Remove and dispose of one 8000-gallon diesel, two 10000-gallon
gasoline and 550-gallon waste oil tanks and associated lines.
2. Remove and dispose of any azt, ionable soils generated from the
- tank and line removals.
3. Drain the excavation pit of groundwater and sample the water
for TPH (as gasoline)%BTEX and TPH (as diesel) .
4. Backfill the excavation pit with clean imported soil; compact
and resurface the former tank pit area.
S. If groundwater .contamination is observed to be above the
Regional Water Quality Control Boards, CAL, a product
recovery, water treatment system and monitoring wells will be
required. This recommendation is contingent on the findings
of the Phase II assessment described in the Phase I
recommendations of this report.
6. Treat in-place soils with a soil vapor recovery system. This
recommendation is also contingent on the findings of the
Phase 11 assessment described in the Phase I recommendations
of this report.
LIMITATIONS
The conclusions and _professional-guidelines-presented-herein-were -T
_ _:—"developed in accordance withenerall accepted
for
addressing UST investigations as outlined in the guidelines from
the California Water,-Quality Control Board.
