SWRCB-CUF#: 03668
Stockton , CA 95219 Global ID#: T0607700310
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed Ozone
Bench Scale Treatability Study (Study) dated August 18, 2009 that was received on
Geotracker September 4, 2009 and has the following comments .
The Study details the soil and groundwater sample collection activities that were
conducted on April 29 , 2009 for the bench scale testing and evaluation by Prima
Environmental for the proposed ozone injection at the above noted subject site.
Based on the results of the testing , your consultant, ATC Associates has concluded that
ozone injection into the subsurface/ground water would be a feasible and cost-effective
remedial action in mitigating the contamination to the ground water from the
underground storage tank unauthorized release .
The EHD concurs with the conclusion and recommendation to conduct a pilot test to
obtain the radius of influence data to design a complete remedial system . Please
submit the pilot test work plan in a timely manner.
Thank you for your cooperation and your continued investigation at this site.
